Successful applicants will receive payment to cover their University tuition fees up to three years, along with a maintenance grant matching the Research Council UK rate (£14,553 for 2017/18).

Eligibility

To be eligible you must:


  • be a UK/EU or International fee paying applicant
  • have achieved at least a First Class (1) Honours degree or equivalent* at undergraduate level
  • meet the English language requirements of your programme of study if English is not your first language (UK/EU applicants – prior to or at registration; international applicants – by the relevant scholarship deadline)
  • not have already been awarded or be currently studying for a doctoral degree
  • not already be in receipt of a doctoral scholarship
  • have applied for a research degree and be in receipt of a student ID number                                 * Candidates with a lower mark in their undergraduate degree will be considered if they have or are expected to receive a Distinction in a Masters programme relevant to their field of research, or if they can demonstrate relevant alternative experience (eg in industry or business, or – for a practice-based PhD – in the creative arts).

Chinese Government Scholarships for Papua New Guinea students

In accordance with the MOU on Educational Cooperation between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea. The Chinese Government will provide twenty-two (22) full bachelor's degree scholarships and four (4) full master's degree scholarships for PNG Students to study in China starting from the academic year 2017/2018.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for post graduate must be;
- PNG Citizen and in good health
- Must be under the age of 35 with a Bachelor Degree or higher
- Must complete 3-5 years work experience.

Applicants for graduate/undergraduate program must be:

-PNG Citizen and in good health
-Be under the age of 25 with a Grade Twelve(12) Higher School Certificate with good academic performance of 2.5 GPA or better

Scholarship Requirement

Applicants are required to submit ×4 Certified Photocopies of relevant application materials listed below;

- Detailed Study Plan ; 500 words for undergraduate and 800 plus for masters

Indonesian Government Scholarships for Students from Developing Countries 2017/2018

Here is a free Scholarship opportunity  for International Students from Developing Countries to study in Indonesia. 

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia is annually offering the Darmasiswa Scholarship, a non-degree scholarship program offered to all foreign students from countries which have diplomatic relationship with Indonesia to study Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian Language), art and culture. Participants can choose one of selected universities (59 universities) located in different cities in Indonesia. This program is organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture (MoEC) in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). The scholarship will be awarded to 650 applicants.

Background

The DARMASISWA program was started in 1974 as part of ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) initiative, admitting only students from ASEAN. However, in 1976 this program was extended to include students from other countries such as Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and USA. In early 90’s, this program was extended further to include all countries which have diplomatic relationship with Indonesia. Until to date, the number of countries participating in this program is more than 80 countries.

Qualification 

Each student has to fulfill these requirements as the follows:

Preferably Student;
  1. Completed secondary education or its equivalent;
  2. Minimum age 17 years and Not older than 35 years of age;
  3. Able to communicate in English and additional Bahasa Indonesia is required (Proven by English Language Proficiency Certificate : TOEFL/ TOEIC/IELTS or OTHER CERTIFICATE if applicable);
  4. In good health as proven by Medical Certificate;
  5. Have basic knowledge of the field you’re applying.


REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

Curriculum vitae/resume;
  • Medical sertificate;
  • Passport valid at least 18 months from time of arrival in Indonesia (estimated arrival : 1st August 2017);
  • Recommendation Letter From Education Institution / Professional Institution on official letterhead and signature (in English);
  • Last academic transcript and certificates (in English);
  • Language certificate (if applicable);
  • Other certificates that related to the field you’re applying (if applicable);
  • Passport size photo;
  • Writing essay about purpose of study (in english or bahasa Indonesia maximum 500 words).

Prospective students are required to register and submit all documents in Darmasiswa RI official website apply.darmasiswa.kemdikbud.go.id. For students who are not in the student’s home country is not allowed to be registered through the Indonesian Embassy/Consulate General in the participating countries (non-citizenship). Here is a great scholarship opportunity for International students to study in Australia. The Queensland University of Technology is offering Faculty of Education International Student Scholarship to study in Australia. International students are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

The Queensland University of Technology abbreviated as QUT, is a public research university located in the urban coastal city of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

2017 Taiwan ICDF Scholarship Open for Application

The 2017 TaiwanICDF Scholarship, a study grant provided by Taiwan International Cooperation Fund, is open for international application from January 1 to March 17, 2017 (GMT +08:00).

Study Programs/ Level of Study

The 2017 TaiwanICDF Scholarship comprises 31 programs for bachelor, master and Ph.D. degrees provided by 21 Taiwanese universities in study areas including tropical Agriculture, business administration, international studies, technology management, engineering, health care, nursing, education, environmental sustainability, marine science, human resource, computer science, medical laboratory sciences, and medicine, etc,

Number of Scholarships : 31 

Eligibility: International Students (See country of Eligibility on http://www.icdf.org.tw/)

Requirements

  • A photocopy of applicant’s passport or other document showing proof of nationality.
  • A photocopy of applicant’s highest-level diploma and academic transcripts.
  • A photocopy of applicant’s English proficiency certificate.

Please note: This means a TOEFL test score or that of any other recognized English proficiency exam, or documents certifying that the applicant has graduated from a program where all courses were taught in English. Applicants who are unable to provide such proof of English proficiency due to special circumstances may be assessed for English proficiency by an ROC (Taiwan) Embassy via interview or other forms of testing. Applicants whose official national language is English are exempt from supplying an English proficiency document.

Two letters of reference.
Any other documents specifically requested by the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy.
Please Note: In addition to the above documents required, applicants should also submit all documents required by the TaiwanICDF partner university that they are applying to before the admission deadline of that university.
