Technical Vocational Education Training Skills Scholarship Program for PNG students

The government of Papua New Guinea through the Department of  Higher Education , Research, Science and Technology is providing the following scholarships for Papua New Guinea students. Interested students can download the application form on the link at the end of this  information. The scholarship is for 2017 and the due date is July mid 2016.

There are three categories to this scholarship, please refer to the requirements and eligibility and apply accordingly.

Category 1 CERTIFICATE II

ELIGIBILITY- In order to be eligible for a scholarship, you must:
be a Papua New Guinean citizen between 18 and 26 years.
have a Higher School Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
have scored A, B or C grade in Mathematics (Major or Minor) and in Language and Literature (English).
have a Grade Point Average of 2 or more for moderated Grade 12 subjects.
be currently unemployed
not have been under any government or foreign agency scholarship.
not apply for more than one course under this program.

Category 2 CERTIFICATE III

ELIGIBILITY- In order to be eligible for a scholarship, you must:
be a Papua New Guinean citizen between 18 and 26 years.
have a Higher School Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
have scored A, B or C grade in Mathematics (Major or Minor) and in Language and Literature (English).
have a Grade Point Average of 2 or more for moderated Grade 12 subjects.
have a Certificate I or II in a Technical Trade’s Field
should not be a tradesperson
be currently unemployed, if you are a school leaver or;
if employed , you can apply only on the condition that your employer can allow you leave of absence for 6-12 months.
not have been under any government or foreign agency scholarship.
not apply for more than one course under this program.

Category 3 Training of Trainers - Certificate IV

ELIGIBILITY - In order to be eligible for a scholarship, you must:
be a Papua New Guinean citizen between 35 and 50 years old.
Currently employed as an Instructor in any recognized Technical or Vocational Institute in PNG
Have between 5-10 years of experience as Teacher in a recognized Technical or Vocational Institute in PNG
Must apply only on the condition that your employer can allow you leave of absence for the duration of the course not have been under any foreign agency scholarship not apply for more than one course under this program. Information source: Department of Higher Education PNG
